Festival Latino, the largest Latino event in Ohio, returns to Columbus’ Bicentennial Park on Aug. 9 and 10.
This free, family-friendly event features two days of children’s activities, music, food, fashion, art and dance from the heart of Latin America. Last year, more than 120,000 people from all walks of life attended Festival Latino.
This year promises to be as exciting and jam-packed as previous years. The Bicentennial Park stage will feature top Caribbean and Latin American musicians performing everything from merengue to salsa to Latin pop. There will be a marketplace featuring traditional Latin American crafts, face painting and more. Another favorite spot is the Children’s Area, which will have exhibits and hands-on activities for kids all weekend.
There will also be areas where you can learn about community services and health and wellness. Erie Insurance, which is one of the event sponsors, will have representatives present in the education tent. Stop by for prizes and giveaways while you learn about educational opportunities in the surrounding area.
