Raleigh is one of America’s fastest growing cities. It’s also becoming one of the most diverse.
This weekend, experience the cultures of more than 50 different local ethnic groups during the 29th annual International Festival of Raleigh. The event, which takes place at the Raleigh Convention Center on Sept. 19-21, features dancing, cultural exhibits, music, great eats and more.
International Focus Inc. sponsors the event. The goal is to connect and collaborate with the diverse residents who call the Research Triangle home. By working together, the entire community will benefit from the perspectives, creativity, wisdom and friendship each group has to offer.
Erie Insurance is proud to sponsor this fun and meaningful event. An Erie Insurance Giving Grant will help underwrite a kids’ scavenger hunt. Make sure to grab a passport at the International Festival Passport Office. When your kids visit a cultural exhibit, they can get it “stamped.” They can then bring the completed passport to the Erie Insurance booth (located opposite the International Festival Passport Office and near Sophia’s Courtyard) so they can receive a “Citizen of the World” stamp.
Also swing by the ERIE booth on Sept. 20 from 11 to 4 p.m. ERIE Agents and Employees will be handing out coloring books the entire time. There will also be interactive cultural activities and an appearance from Ernie, ERIE’s fire safety dog.
