We Won’t See a Snowman in Summer, but We Will Enjoy Some Cool Temps

The term “summertime polar vortex” is getting lots of buzz as unseasonably low temperatures head toward the Midwest and Northeast, but don’t fret (or get too excited): the temperature won’t be low enough for a snowman or for frozen pipes.

Instead, according to Weather.com, areas across the Great Lakes may experience lows in the 40s and 50s at night and highs in the 60s and 70s during the day. Perfect weather for a light sweater and evening fun around a fire.
