The Richmond Branch sponsored and participated in the annual Paint Your Heart Out Chesapeake event on May 3. Employees and Agents painted an elderly widow’s home and worked alongside landscapers to clean up the yard. ERIE also sponsored the volunteer after party.
ERIE volunteers painted the house a warm tan with antique white trim and black shutters. They also helped clean up the overgrown yard and plant 288 flowers.
After a long day of work, 37 volunteers from various organizations in Chesapeake worked together to provide Joyce, the homeowner, with a beautifully painted house and fresh landscaping.
Knoxville Claims Support Specialist Supervisor Jeannine Henney (left) and her daughter joined 970 volunteers for the Ijams Nature Center’s River Rescue clean-up event in April. Volunteers removed nine tons of trash and 90 tires from several locations of the site.
Employees at the Home Office joined forces to prepare several plots of land surrounding the Home Office for community gardens. Planting will take place later in the month.
Claims Support Specialist Laura Boros and Security Officer Jon Boros lended a hand at the Home Office.
From painting houses and planting flowers to river clean ups, Erie Insurance Employees and Agents in Knoxville, Richmond and Erie recently helped prepare their communities for spring.
Efforts like these demonstrate ERIE’s commitment to the communities in which it operates and provide an opportunity for Employees and Agents to team up for a good cause.
