Join the Shift, ERIE’s safe teen driving program, is off to a strong start.
Hundreds of teens in 12 states and the District of Columbia have logged on to JointheShift.org to sign safe driving pledges, upload safe driving videos, share content on Facebook® and Twitter®, and more.
Each activity that teens complete earns them points. Sixteen prizes totaling $20,000 will be awarded to the students and schools who amass the most points. This year’s contest also includes a $1,000 student prize for best video. The biggest prize of all, though, is learning lifesaving lessons about the dangers of distracted driving.
This year’s program kicked off on Sept. 17. It doesn’t end until Nov. 17, so there’s still time to get involved. You might start by creating a pledge card like students in the above slideshow. You can also showcase your video creation skills and earn more points by making a safe driving video.
